Appointments
The Silky Satin Hair Boutique is an appointment-only salon specialising in healthy hair care for afro and textured hair.
Clients must be aged 12 or over to book appointments unless agreed otherwise in advance.
Some services require full payment at the time of booking. If payment is not successfully completed, the appointment will not be confirmed and may be automatically cancelled.
All deposits and booking payments are non-refundable.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
We require a minimum of 7 working days’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling requests. Working days are Monday–Friday excluding public holidays.
Appointments cancelled with less than 7 working days’ notice are non-refundable.
Example:
If your appointment is on Friday 18 November, any cancellation or rescheduling request must be made by Friday 11 November.
Appointments may be rescheduled a maximum of two times. Further changes may require a new booking payment.
Same-day rescheduling requests may be treated as a cancellation and a new booking fee may apply.
Late Arrivals & Missed Appointments
Please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time.
Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late must notify the salon directly. A late fee may apply depending on the service booked and stylist availability.
Clients arriving 30 minutes late without prior contact may have their appointment cancelled or shortened and the booking payment will be forfeited.
Missed appointments and no-shows are non-refundable.
Payments
The salon operates as a cashless business.
Payments for additional services, treatments, maintenance, extra time or upgrades added during your appointment can be made via bank transfer, card payment or Apple Pay.
Cash tips are welcomed but no cash is stored on site.
Masterclasses & Training
All masterclasses, training sessions and educational bookings require full payment in advance.
Students may be required to complete consultation or pre-session forms before attending.
All training and masterclass bookings are strictly non-refundable under all circumstances.
Salon Etiquette
To maintain a calm and luxury salon experience for all clients:
* Please attend your appointment alone unless agreed otherwise in advance.
* We kindly ask clients to arrive with their hair prepared according to the booking instructions provided.
* Excessively tangled hair, undisclosed previous chemical services or late changes to the booked service may result in additional charges or refusal of service.
Professional combs, brushes and detangling tools are used throughout all services as part of standard salon procedures.
Clients with heavily tangled, matted or compacted hair may experience additional shedding or breakage during the detangling process, particularly where regular brushing, combing or maintenance has not been carried out over time.
While every effort is made to handle the hair with care, The Silky Satin Hair Boutique cannot accept responsibility for pre-existing damage, breakage or shedding identified before or during the appointment.
Additional detangling time and charges may apply where necessary.
Health & Safety
Masks remain optional within the salon environment.
If you are feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms of illness, we kindly ask that you contact the salon before attending your appointment.
Content, Photography & CCTV
Please be aware that CCTV operates throughout the salon for security, safety and insurance purposes.
The Silky Satin Hair Boutique also regularly captures photography and video content within the salon for marketing, educational and social media purposes across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and the salon website.
While we always aim to respect client privacy and comfort, by attending your appointment you acknowledge that general salon content may be recorded within the salon environment.
Clients who do not wish to appear in any photography or video content must notify the salon before the start of their appointment.
Professional images, videos and content created within the salon remain the property of The Silky Satin Hair Boutique unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Privacy
We collect basic client information including name, email address and phone number for appointment management and client communication purposes.
Client information is never sold to third parties and will only be used for marketing communications where consent has been given.
